Science and Engineering Ambassadors
Target Group: Primary & Secondary age students

Science and Engineering Ambassadors (SEAs) are volunteers who work alongside teachers to help deliver programmes in Primary and Secondary schools.

Business contribution & benefits:
Provision of time to suit volunteer/company for enthusiastic engineers and scientists to act as demonstrators, mentors, judges of student projects and careers advisors.  Young staff can improve their management, communication and organisational skills.
How the scheme works:
Teachers wanting to run an event contact Setpoint Surrey.  The most effective use of SEAs has proved to be in their contribution to the operation of established Setpoint activities, adapted to the needs of each school.  The teacher and Setpoint manager plan the event and ensure that engineers of relevant disciplines are booked and briefed.

All SEAs working with us have been cleared through the Criminal Records Bureau disclosure programme and are provided with third party insurance whilst working within schools.
